To reset your password yourself, you must first be enrolled in Microsoft Multi-factor Authentication.
How do I enroll in multi-factor authentication?
Please visit https://myapps.microsoft.com and type in your YCCD email address and click “Next”.
Type in your YCCD portal / email password and click “Sign in”.
Click “Don’t show this again” and click “Yes” if you would like to reduce the number of times you have to sign in.
Click “Next” if you see the following screen:
Set up Multi-factor Authentication
Click on “I want to set up a different method” and select “Phone” or “Email”

If you select phone method, you should see the following page:
After you input your phone number and select “text me a code” or “call me”, you will receive a code via voice or text.
After receiving the code and entering it into the “enter code” area, click “next”.
You should now see the following screen, where you will click “I want to set up a different method”.
After clicking “Email”, then you will be asked to input your personal, NON-YCCD email address. Click “Next”.

A code will be sent to your personal email address that you just typed in. Type in the code and click “Next”.
You’re all done!
You should now see this screen:
If you would like to add the Microsoft authenticator or other authenticator app to your account, then follow the steps below:
For adding the Microsoft Authenticator, download the app from the Apple App Store (for Apple iPhone) or Google Play Store (For Android phones).
After installing the Authenticator on your phone, Click “next”.
Click “Next” to go to the next page.
Then open your authenticator app on your phone, and scan the QR code below and then Click “Next”.
The authenticator app should successfully add your work or school account without requiring any additional information from you. Approve the notification in the Microsoft Authenticator app, and then select Next.
Your security info is updated to use the Microsoft Authenticator app by default to verify your identity when using two-step verification or password reset.

If you receive an error or cannot get into your account, please call the help desk (530.741.6981) during office hours (8-5 | M-F) so we can verify your identity and reset your password if necessary.
