Updating Browser Language in Google Chrome
For Windows and macOS:
- Open Google Chrome: Launch the browser on your computer.
- Access Settings: Click the three vertical dots (menu) in the upper-right corner and select "Settings."
- Navigate to Languages: Scroll down and click on "Advanced" to expand the menu. Then, find and click on "Languages."
- Add a Language: Click "Add languages," select your preferred language from the list, and click "Add."
- Set Display Language: Click the three vertical dots next to the added language and select "Display Google Chrome in this language."
- Restart Chrome: Close and reopen Chrome for the changes to take effect
For Chrome OS:
- Open Settings: Click the time in the bottom-right corner of your screen and select the gear icon to open "Settings."
- Navigate to Languages: Click "Advanced," then "Languages and input."
- Add a Language: In the "Languages" section, click "Add languages," select your preferred language, and click "Add."
- Set Display Language: Click the three vertical dots next to the added language and check "Show system text in this language."
- Restart Chrome OS: Click "Restart" to apply the changes
Updating Browser Language in Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge: Launch the browser on your computer.
- Access Settings: Click the three horizontal dots (menu) in the upper-right corner and select "Settings."
- Navigate to Languages: In the left panel, scroll down and click on "Languages."
- Add a Language: Click "Add languages," select your preferred language from the dropdown menu or search for it, and click "Add."
- Set Display Language: Click the three horizontal dots next to the added language and select "Display Microsoft Edge in this language."
- Restart Edge: Close and reopen Edge for the changes to take effect
