Multi-Factor Authentication - Enable/Disable in Single Sign-On Portal

How do I enable Multi-Factor Authentication for my Single Sign-On Portal?
Answer
You can manage Multi-Factor Authentication from the Edit Profile selection of your YCCD Single Sign-On Portal, login.yccd.edu
  • You can access the Edit Profile page from your YCCD Login Dashboard (see Figure 1 below) by clicking on the Account ID number, link located on the top-right side of the screen.

  • This window will open
  • If you have not enabled Multi-Function Authentication before, you must first register your phone.
    • If you would like to register and allternate email as OTP method see images at the bottom of this article
  • Select Registered Phones then Add New Phone

  • Input cell phone you authentication to be sent too.
  • Select Continue

  • Enter the One-Time 4-Digit Passcode that was sent to your cell phone.
  • Select Continue.

  • Phone Enfollment Successful window will open. Select refresh the account management page.

  • You can now turn on Multi-Factor Authentication by selecting "Enable Multi-Factor for my account".
  • Select OK when next window open and you now have the security of Multi-Factor Authentication.

  • To exit, select "Go to SSO Jump Page" to return to the YCCD Single Sign-On Portal where all the tile for YCCD's application are located.

  • Once you Enable Multi-Factor to your account you will receive a code text to your phone.
  1. Enter the code send to your phone to authenticate
  2. Check remember this device (screen shot below). This will last for 30 days

  • Every browser that is used will require authertication code and check of remember this device.

Registering an arternate email as your OTP contact method

  • Registered Email Address fill in alternate email address, (not @yccd.edu) and continue

  • Select OTP Delivery Methods
  • Select change under Modify heading

  • Select email as OTP Method and continue

  • Four digit authentication code will be sent to the registered email address

  1. Enter the code send to your phone to authenticate
  2. Check remember this device (screen shot below). This will last for 30 days
